Some Facebook comments suggest we've nearly finished - it doesn't feel like that!
Here are some facts about what's to come...
243 miles.
From Fort William to Watten the trail passes one small village with shops, four isolated hotels, a bunkhouse and a youth hostel - that's it! Only 12 public roads are crossed in over 200 miles of walking!
We will be going off trail to stop in Ullapool for a rest day and resupplies. We are having other resupplies shipped to two Inns to be picked up en route (thanks Lucy!).
Also, we may have to change the route if the weather is not favourable as we have to cross some rivers which are impassable after rain.
We've still a challenge ahead!
Our Flat Coat Retriever Barney is walking the length of Great Britain with us starting 27th March 2015. The route is from Land's End to John O'Groats and is approx. 1400 miles / 2500km mostly off-road and will take about 4 months. We are doing it for fun but Barney has a mission - to collect money for Guide Dogs! Help him along the way - just click the donations tab to find out how...

You will do it! Jos is practically feral, Barney has four legs and I'm sure Bob has something going for him. Keep tight hold of the compass. Jane the Witch
