The route was to be on the Rob Roy Way but we ended up simply walking the minor road direct from Drymen to the campsite as it was raining and in cloud on the high parts. Not ideal with blisters but we survived and got into the site soon after 2 so an afternoon off for once!
The site is excellent (couldn't say that about yesterday's site!) and the staff were very interested in our trip and Barney. We even got a very welcome cup of tea - much appreciated after 10 miles of road walking in the rain!
Our Flat Coat Retriever Barney is walking the length of Great Britain with us starting 27th March 2015. The route is from Land's End to John O'Groats and is approx. 1400 miles / 2500km mostly off-road and will take about 4 months. We are doing it for fun but Barney has a mission - to collect money for Guide Dogs! Help him along the way - just click the donations tab to find out how...
