We were camped a mile outside the village so still no pub in the evening!
We went to the farm to pay and the kind lady gave a donation - many thanks. Also the knowledge that we could get across to our route without going all the way back to the village.
A short day of 7 miles as we needed a break. Luckily it wasn't race day as we would not have been able to get onto the campsite!
A trip into town for provisions and a much welcome couple of pints and a meal in the Dapple Grey where we were treated like royalty and had our photo taken! Many thanks for the donations from both pub and customers - people are so kind. The walk was basically fields so only one pic!
Our Flat Coat Retriever Barney is walking the length of Great Britain with us starting 27th March 2015. The route is from Land's End to John O'Groats and is approx. 1400 miles / 2500km mostly off-road and will take about 4 months. We are doing it for fun but Barney has a mission - to collect money for Guide Dogs! Help him along the way - just click the donations tab to find out how...
